The 2018 Emmanuel faction carnival was a great success. Students from years 7-10 participated with a competitive and cooperative spirit throughout the day. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day for the carnival which only lifted the spirits of all involved. Students participated in a wide variety of athletic pursuits, including shot put, javelin, discus, tug of war, and the 1500, 400, and 100 metre races. One of the major highlights was the girls beating the boys in tug of war in the majority of year groups!
There were a number of standout performances throughout the day, and the students who won their events were invited to the interschool carnival a fortnight later. The day concluded with the 100 metre house relay, which was vocally supported by all. At the end of the day the votes were tallied and Yarabee were the overall winners. The day was made so successful thanks to the help of a number of generous volunteers and the exemplary behavior and participation of all students. Well done to all!
