On Friday the 10th of August Mrs Selby and Mrs Roberts had the privilege of taking 4 of the Year 7 students to The Governor’s prayer breakfast at the Grand Ballroom at The Crown Casino.
We joined over 1200 other people to hear amazing speakers including the Honourable Kim Beazley (our current Governor of WA) Rev Sam Dinah (An Aboriginal Pastor who was part of the stolen generation) and the Keynote speaker Rev Dr John Dixon who has written many books, a few that the year 10s have and are studying together. We also heard from different people from many different walks of life including Andrew Hastie MP and The police Commissioner in WA , who prayed for our State. We had a musician, Michael Battersby, play piano for us while we ate a scrumptious breakfast. Michael Battersby was joined by a high school student, Paris Cusack, and they sang two songs and had us sing the 2nd with them.
The 4 students who were selected to come to this event will give a short summary of what they enjoyed the most.

The Grand Ballroom at the Crown is a very nice place. The food that they cooked and served us was nice and tasty. The chairs were comfortable. We had enough room on the table for us to eat on. The songs that they sang were beautiful. The pianist who played for us was great. The speeches that the people said to us were wonderful. The people on the table we were sitting at were kind. It makes me want to go again.
