On Friday of Week 7, the two Year 7 HASS classes were visited by Jeff Hewitt, a family lawyer from Lotus Legal. The Year Sevens are learning about participants in Australia’s legal system. Jeff helped our students understand what a lawyer does, as well as the roles and responsibilities of the many people in a court room. The students had many interesting and insightful questions to ask. The Year 7’s will put their new knowledge to the test in Week 9 when they conduct a trial, turning our classroom into a courtroom.
